First round of ‘Vale Indústria 4.0’ initiative is accepting applications until September 29

Applications for the first round of ‘Vale Indústria 4.0’ programme are open until September 29. The initiative is headed to small and medium-sized companies and aims to support the acquisition of consultancy services intended to the integration of technologies and processes associated with industry 4.0, i.e., that promote the digitalization of processes, the interconnectivity of products and the organizational model adjustment through new technologies.

‘Vale Indústria 4.0’ estimates to allocate 12 million euros to 1,500 companies over 4 years. The amount reserved for this first round is 4.2 million euros in vouchers, each with a maximum of 7,500 euros. All business sectors are eligible, however, all proponent SME must meet certain criteria, such as the existence of at least three job positions and the absence of other applications, approved or under analysis, within the “Qualificação PME” framework. Applications that meet the eligibility criteria are sorted by order of entry and, in case of equality, the selection is made based on net jobs creation.
